Education/Training Resources

Chances are that you don't have to reinvent the wheel to meet most of your training needs. Here are some resources you can take advantage of:

  • New 2006 Training Calendar: Mark your calendar and don't miss any of these great events!
  • Presidents Conference - As promised, here is a copy of the notes for the final section of my speech on identity theft. I have saved a PDF version for you at www.ThinkLikeASpy.com/SileoNotes.pdf. If you have any trouble retrieving the document, email me back and I will get it to you in another format. This should give you a fairly detailed summary of the benefits that Utah League of Credit Union can realize by educating your members on prevention. If you need any clarification, please feel free to contact me toll-free at 1-866-779-8446.

I have had quite a few requests for more information on the services that I offer directly to credit unions, so I am going to include those in this email. If you were not one of the attendees who requested further information, please disregard.

For those of you who asked me about visiting your credit union to train customer service reps on techniques like Wallet Jujitsu and Online Tools to enhance member loyalty and wallet share, I would be happy to do so. Since there were many of you that requested such training, I would like to try and coordinate a 2-3 day trip to Utah in which I could spend 4-6 half-day sessions with individual credit unions. That way all expenses (air fare and hotel) would be shared by many clients, bringing your costs way down. This will also allow me to discount my speaking/training fees since I will be booking multiple engagements. If you are interested in being part of this training, please email me back and let me know what month would work for your credit union. Then I will start to work with specific dates and times and will coordinate with Marilyn at ULCU to make sure everyone is included that would like to be.

For those who asked me about addressing their members at an annual or other meeting, I would be happy to do this as well. Please contact me with the dates and times of the meetings, the expected number of attendees and the speech length. Make sure to give me your phone number as well, and I will call you to ask details. This is a great way to bolster attendance at annual meetings while protecting your membership. Don’t worry if you have already scheduled a speaker for this year’s meeting. It is a good time to plan for next year.

And finally, for those who asked about buying bulk copies of Stolen Lives: Identity Theft Prevention Made Simple to use as member premiums and acquisition incentives, I will extend discounted prices for all Utah League members based on quantities purchased. It will be well below the $14.95 retail price.

Thank you again for your attention to this subject. It is a very personal one for me, and I appreciate your taking action to protect yourselves and your members.
