E-mail lists
Chances
are that no matter how brilliant you are, you don’t
know everything. You sometimes have questions about your
responsibilities at your credit union.
E-mail lists help you get answers fast, from many people
who have gone through or are going through the same situation
as you.
Using the e-mail lists is as easy as sending an e-mail to
a friend or associate. And because people expect your questions
and your comments on an e-mail list, it’s a no-pressure
environment where you can participate in discussions on topics
relevant to you. Once you sign up for a list, all you have
to do is send an e-mail to the list, and it is automatically
distributed to
the rest of the list members.
E-mail lists have proven effective for holding “virtual
conversations.” You can observe as others discuss topics,
post your own responses, or send your own questions. If
you’re
having a certain problem, someone else in a similar position
or with similar responsibilities might be
having the same problem.
By sending your e-mail to a large number of people, you can
bet that you’ll get a range of answers and suggestions.
Aside from providing speed, effectiveness, and friendliness,
the list helps you get to know people throughout the state!
Here
are the lists we currently have:
- Accounting
- Branch Operations
- Collections
- Compliance/Policies
- Consumer Lending
- Front-line Staff
- Human Resources
- IT/Technology
- Marketing
- Mortgage Lending
- Small CU presidents
- Training/Education
Expert Network
Maybe there isn’t an e-mail list dedicated
to your particular function or responsibility. Maybe you
don’t have e-mail. Either way, the expert network provides
a nexus of people who can help you with your credit unions.
This list will have a broad list of topics, and people who
have been declared knowledgeable on that topic. Just look
up the topic, choose one of the experts, and make the call.
Answers and help are just a phone call away!
Whether
you’re
a specialized professional, or a jack-of-all trades, chances
are you know more than the average person
on several topics. There are 114 to choose from! Before
you think, "I'm not an expert! I'm not signing up for
that!" remember that you don't need to be a complete
guru. You just need to have good knowledge and experience
in the
area. By
making yourself
available
as
a member
of
the expert
network, you can help other credit unions with questions.
The Expert Network will help you spread your knowledge and
get answers to your
questions.
